The building of the new Mary Rose Museum in Portsmouth E-mail
Saturday, 20 February 2010 21:37

Just started a three year project to document the building of the new Mary Rose Museum in Portsmouth.

Working in partnership with production company “Motivation” and in cooperation with the Mary Rose Trust, we’ll be covering planning & building works, archaeological finds and interviews with key personnel, hopefully including president of the trust HRH Prince Charles.

To help realise this spectacular new Museum, the Mary Rose Trust recently launched the Mary Rose 500 public appeal - 2010 is the 500th anniversary of work starting on the ship’s construction.

The appeal is a final funding drive towards the £35 million needed to complete the historic project and is seeking 500 individuals, schools, businesses and organisations to symbolically become the ‘new crew’ of the Tudor warship. Each new crew member is asked to raise £500 towards the Mary Rose 500 appeal’s £250,000 target. To join the Mary Rose’s ‘new crew’ visit www.maryrose500.org
