Â

I worked extensively during 2009 as Sound Recording & Dubbing Engineer on the production of the Macular Disease Society’s promotional DVD documentary. Before working on this project I had never even heard of the disease and it's debilitating effects, like most sufferers when first diagnosed.
Right now there is no cure for Macular Disease, but there are ways of helping people live with it, and that’s where the Macular Disease Society can help. They are often the first and only point of contact for newly diagnosed sufferers. They also invest heavily into research projects looking for a cure for MD, and during filming I saw some incredibly promising research into possible treatments.
So when Cathy Yelf, Head of External Relations at the Macular Disease Society asked me if I was interested in climbing Kilimanjaro to help raise funds, I said yes before I’d given the challenge any thought whatsoever.
So sticking to my promise, it’s all booked now, and I can’t wait until October. But I need your help to raise the minimum £3500 for the charity. It would be great if you can help me blow that figure right out of the water.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
